Our Czech born adorable Yana Gupta has set her sights beyond the camera now

Yana was recently in Chennai for the launch of Tommy Hilfiger’s Spring Summer Collection. She just announced something really surprising there.

Well Yana talked about her upcoming debut as a singer and writer. Wow! Now that’s what we call a SURPRISE!!!

Yan Gupta said “I have been making a music album and throughout last year I have been busy with some recordings. It’s almost ready to be released abroad.”

“I am also writing a book on nutrition and fitness and I am starting to represent some new brands, which is also fitness related. Apart from that I am also shooting some music videos,” Yana added.

And if music be the food of love, music is what Yana loves to feast on. “My album is in English and the music is jazz and blues,” she explains. That’s really a wonderful combo

And that’s not all that Yana is doing. She is also thinking of an idea that might go a long way in securing her career in the world of films even more.

Having done a few dance numbers in Tamil cinema, Yana is no stranger to the language, and the brave girl would like to try her hand at something different.

“I am even thinking that I should sing a song in Tamil and I think it’ll sound really cute what with my accent and all,” says Yana. Well, we would be really looking forward for that.

As most of us, the Yana Gupta fans, knows, Aftab Shivdasani is Yana Gupta’s boyfriend.

It recently happened that Aftab was to do his very first kissing scene in his film Red opposite Celina Jaitley. He was so nervous that he even stopped Yana Gupta from coming to the shooting sets that day. So what do you think, how would have Yana reacted to this issue?

Well, our brave and understanding Yana said “”I was supposed to drop in that day and I knew he was going to enact some hot scene. This was the very first time he was doing a kissing scene in any film and it’s quite natural that he would be conscious about it and not want his girlfriend around.” Yana continues “I’m happy he’s done it. It’s important to understand that this is an inseparable part of our profession and it would be only stupid to feel jealous; only people who are insecure about themselves and their relationship would feel threatened by a screen kiss.

You cant and don’t build a relationship based only on all this anyway, so why give it so much importance?”

Yana is happy about the way Aftab’s career is progressing, “Knowing Aftab, on an impulse he would have rejected doing the scene but it’s good for him as he is changing his image and this film finally shows him in a different light.

He’s shaved off his head, changed his look and is looking much different and is prepared for different roles. He is no more just the cute guy but a handsome man and this movie will put that across, and I definitely encourage him in every aspect.”

Super-Model and Bollywood actress Yana Gupta faces a unique problem while traveling by air. Very recently, she was stopped by officials at the Dhaka Zia International airport, Bangladesh for possession of suspicious objects. Suspicious as like drugs.

Actually the fact is that Yana is a health freak who always carry her soya protein mix while traveling. She is also an acupuncture expert who carries her acupuncture needles with her when she travels. The result is predictable. Lol…. She has often been questioned for possession of suspicious objects while traveling.

This is what Yana has to say about the matter

“I’m very health conscious and carry small dabbas of stuff like my soya protein and calcium powder which I mix. They look kind of weird and I’m always questioned for it. I also have small acupuncture needles which I bought from China, which look like tiny sharp objects in the X-ray machine.”

“It’s quite funny actually,” says Yana. “Every time I pack my bag I pray that I won’t be stopped. At the Dhaka Zia International airport, Bangladesh, last week, they opened my boxes and asked me what they contained. They thought it was drugs. But I asked the man to taste it and only then did he believe me and let me go. The same thing also happened to me in Dubai, where I was lucky to be let off easily as the rules pertaining to drugs are very strict there.”

As for the needles, Yana says they need a lot more convincing than the protein powders. In fact, she even had to do acupuncture on an airport official once to prove herself. “I was coming back from Kolkata, when a security man stopped me. I told him I was a doctor who uses them to treat patients. He scoffed at me saying they didn’t look like medicines. So I just stuck a needle into him and showed him. Thankfully I got back my needles as they are specially bought from China!” says Yana. That was very brave of Yana to stuck a needle into the security man. Ha Ha Ha…

Aftab Shivdasani is getting serious about the new girl in his life. Yana, who divorced her husband, is dating Aftab which has made the actor move out of his parents’ house and get a new condo in Bandra. Yana has been working with the interior designer to get the house ready for this new love bird.

Yana, who replaced Lisa Ray to be the new Lakme Face, has made some major strides in her career. Yana is one of the highest paid “Item Girl” in Bollywood and is also the face for Kingfisher Airlines.

After “Anakhee” Aftab’s phone is ringing off the hook and has apparently signed seven movies. The future for sure is bright for this love pair and the two are proving to be lucky for each other. Great going guys!
